I, Stephen Darcy, a resident of shady springs neighbourhood am sending you this letter on behalf of the other parents to address our request for you to allocate an additional police officer to Central Elementary School. While the one allotted officer is sufficient to manage the traffic flow at the front of the school, there is no one in uniform patrolling or directing traffic at the school's rear entrance that many kids pass through while they head home each afternoon.
Central is currently the only elementary school in the district that does not have a police officer at every entrance, and we find this fact to be very unfair.
We ask that this matter be given immediate attention. Your responsiveness to the city's concerns thus far in your term of office make us certain that you will give equal weight to our request.
