In English, we use the following rules for affirmative, negative, and question sentences with regard to quantity:

1."There is" in affirmative sentences.

2."There isn't" or "There are not" in negative sentences.

3."Is there" or "Are there" in questions.

For example:

Affirmative: There's a sofa.

Negative: There isn't an armchair.

Questions: Are there any chairs?

Additional examples:

Affirmative: There are some chairs.

Negative: There aren't any paintings.

Questions: Are there any posters?

These rules are used to express the existence or presence of objects or things in a specific context.
