Dear Denis,
I hope this letter finds you in good spirits. It's been a while since we last corresponded, and I decided to write to you to share some news and experiences.
First of all, the school year has started off quite interestingly. Eighth grade has proven to be more challenging than seventh, but I know that we'll handle all these lessons and homework together. What are your impressions of the new school year?
Recently, my parents and I went on a short trip to the mountains. The scenery was incredibly beautiful, and I even tried skiing for the first time in my life! Tell me, did you have a chance to go somewhere interesting this summer?
As for hobbies, I've been playing the guitar and trying to learn some new songs. Maybe someday we can play together! What hobbies are you into right now?
I miss our friendly get-togethers and after-school soccer matches. I hope we can gather the whole gang soon.
