Minimum voting age should be 18 because it is the age of majority in most countries. At this age, people are considered to be mentally and physically mature enough to make informed decisions about the political affairs of their country. This age also coincides with the onset of most legal responsibilities, such as driving and drinking. Additionally, lower minimum age could cause various issues, such as children being influenced by their parents or other adults to vote in certain ways, or allowing young people, who may not be fully educated on the issues and have not developed their individual political views, to make important political decisions.
