4. What advice or suggestions would you give him/her?
In my opinion, it is Niki's hard work and efforts that have led her to excel and gain admission into university. Therefore, her parents' reward is justified. However, it is also essential to support charitable causes, and Niki can look for ways to donate to charities as well. I would advise her to make a compromise with her parents and ask them to donate some money to charity while still receiving the present. It is not selfish to accept a well-earned reward, but it is also important to give back to society when possible. Additionally, I would encourage her to express her standpoint genuinely and respectfully to her schoolmates. She can explain her situation, and they might understand her perspective. Finally, I would suggest Niki to be proud of her hard work and achievements and celebrate them within her family's means and values.
