Let's replace the adjectives with stronger ones:

How high is a mountain? I've reached many peaks, but on this challenging trip everything possible went wrong.

My best friend Joe and I arranged to meet early one morning in summer. We both know mountains are dangerous, but it was also scorching so before we left, we had agreed to pack a map, some water, and just a few snacks.

After a couple of hours, by the end of the journey, the path started to get very treacherous. We had intended to reach a small lake by lunchtime, the following afternoon but we couldn't find it. We kept looking at the map, but we didn't want to waste time arguing, so we just kept walking. At first, we saw it. But strangely, it looked different from what we had expected.

By the end of the afternoon, on the first morning, we had finished all our food and water and were feeling extremely exhausted. We weren't walking anymore either; we were climbing. I was quite terrified.

Suddenly Joe shouted excitedly. 'I can see the top.' Finally, later, we had arrived. We felt really triumphant. While we were looking at the view, we clearly saw the mountain we had planned to climb. We were on the wrong mountain! Luckily, we found an easier path down.

After that, eventually, we got back home. Everyone was very impressed with our incredible achievement, so we decided not to mention our significant mistake.

Now, let's match the verb patterns:

1. I want to drive a Formula 1 car one day. (A)

2. We might go for a swim later. (D)

3. The coach makes us run 3 kilometers before the training starts. (C)

4. Please remind me to put a clean towel in my gym bag. (B)

5. Karen fancies watching basketball on TV at home. (E)
