A campsite on a mountain

Last summer, we flew 1. direct/in a direct way to Atlanta and 2. set off/went around/pulled up of America in a 3. cottage/caravan/boathouse across the southern states which was big enough to sleep four people, and was easy to drive. It was a great adventure. During our road trip, we 4. stopped over/went off/took in many of the most interesting sites, including Nashville and Memphis, where we saw Elvis Presley's house, and we 5.got back/ got around/stopped over in some really lovely guest houses and historical hotels and motels. Everybody we met smiled at us 6 4

I really like that about Americans. 7. Near/in a near way/nearly the end of our trip, we visited the Great Smoky Mountains, and put up our tent in a wonderful 8. campsite/villa/youth hostel which was really high up, almost in the clouds. It was the highlight of a great trip, one full of so many adventures.
