Betty and Ben are a brother and a sister. They are twins and they have a Birthday at the same day. But their favourite holiday is Christmas. Because in England Christmas is always full of surprises. It may snow and in the living-room they have a tall and beautiful Christmas tree. The most interesting event is a decoration of a Christmas Tree. They have a lot of wonderful toys, including balls, little toy animals, snowflakes and little angels.
That evening on the 24th of December Betty came into the room and cried: "I've just seen Santa! He is travelling in the sky; reindeer are pulling his sledges!" Ben knew Santa was just a fairy character, but he was glad to hear Betty's words.
There were twelve big and small boxes with presents under the Christmas tree and some of them belonged to Betty and Ben. Traditional stockings hung on the decorative fireplace. Santa had to put some pounds into them. It was all the same who could put money there, Santa or relatives. Children knew, what they were going to spend it for. They wanted to buy a dog and have a pet. It was their dream. And it will be a real surprise for their parents.
