There'snoplace likehome by Jack Fleming You don't really think about your home until you have to move somewhere else, or at least I never tho about my home in the English countryside until then. But everything changed when Dad came home from couple of months ago to tell us more about his new job. 'So, what?' I thought to myself. And then he said: new job is in Berlin - in Germany'. And now,two months later, here we are, living in an apartment close to Berlin city centre, in the middle some big houses.I'm going to an internationalschool because I don't speak German and this is an importar for me because I have to passsome big exams at the end. Ourlessons are all in English but because Dad'sh forthe nextfive years, I must learn German! Like the language, everything around me is still very new. But I like being in the city because it's mor interesting than being in the countryside. It's easy to get around because the public transport is brilliant an cheaper than back home. There are so many amazing things to see and do. Life is exciting, but I miss my friends back home. We Skype and email and I keep in touch with everyone Facebook but it's not like being together. I hope that I can go back home in the holidays and maybe some friends can come and visit too. What else do I miss? Well, I miss my old room and I know Mum misses t garden because she liked to grow lots of vegetables but I don't think Dad misses anything and my sister i in so I don't know whatshe misses!
