My best holiday ever was to a tiny island called Sunbeam Cay. We took a rickety ferry ride across the sparkling turquoise water, and from the moment we stepped onto the soft, sandy beach, I knew it was magical.
Every day was an adventure! We snorkeled in coral reefs teeming with colorful fish, built sandcastles that stretched taller than me, and chased hermit crabs along the shore. The warm sun kissed my skin, and the salty breeze tousled my hair. Sometimes, we'd explore hidden coves where seashells glittered like jewels, and once, we even spotted a playful pod of dolphins leaping in the waves.
In the evenings, we'd gather around crackling bonfires, sharing stories and roasting marshmallows under a blanket of twinkling stars. The air smelled like smoke and sweet coconut, and the sound of the waves lapping against the shore lulled me to sleep.
Sunbeam Cay wasn't just beautiful; it felt like a whole different world. It was a place where time slowed down, where worries floated away on the breeze, and where every day was filled with laughter and wonder. That's why it will always be my best holiday ever.
