The polar bear
In this picture you can see a polar bear hunting seals on the ice. It has thick fur, strong legs and fat under its skin. Polar bears live in the Arctic on the ice. They are aggressive animals. They like hunting seals, catching fish and they also eat birds' eggs or dead animals which they find on the shore. Polar bears are nice swimmers. They can swim on the distance of about 90 kilometers, keeping their head over the water as they have long neck. Also they can dive. They can swim under the water for two minutes. Polar bears' females usually have two cubs . They appear at the beginning of December in the den where their mother fast asleep. The cubs grow fast as the milk is of high fat. They are with their mother for two- three years until they learn survival skills.
Unfortunately the climate changes because of the pollution and ice begins to melt. It is difficult to hunt for the Polar bears. They have to seek for the food for a long time. Also hunters kill polar bears because of their fur.
