Make one sentence of two using when or after
1 Joe did all the shopping. Then he went to the cafe for a cup of cofee. 2 Max looked through the three dictionaries he had. 3 Ron wrote three letters. then he posted them. 4 Jane told her granny about everything. Then she felt much happier. 5 Bill finished learning the sonnet by heart. Then he watched television for an hour or so. 6 Edward bought Christmas presents for everyone in his family. Then he bought a camera for himself as well

2 When Max looked through the three dictionaries he had, he found the word he was looking for
3 When Ron wrote three letters, he posted them
4 After Jane told her granny about everything she felt much happier 
5 When Bill finished learning the sonnet by heart, he watched television for an hour or so. 
6 When Edward bought Christmas presents for everyone in his family, he bought a camera for himself as well 


Чтобы делать такие упражнения, нужно понимать смысл слов. Сначала нужно найти действие, которое произошло первым и перед ним поставить слово WHEN/AFTER (можно использовать и то, и то, when переводится "когда", а after - "после"), а после этого пишется вторая часть. Например:
Я купила пять яблок. Потом я их все съела.
Сначала я что сделала? - Купила яблоки. Значит WHEN/AFTER идет перед этим предложением, ну а второе нужно просто дописать:
Когда/после того как я купила пять яблок, я их все съела.  
На английском это будет звучать так:
When/after I bought five apples, I ate them all.
