Winter.

December, January and February are winter months. The weather is cold. There is much snow in the street. Sometimes it snows almost every day. The days are short and the nights are long. 
Sometimes the sun shines brightly and you can see a lot of snow everywhere. The rivers, lakes and ponds freeze and we can go skating and skiing. Children can go to the skating-rink. My parents and I go to the forest to ski at the weekends.
It is a good tradition to see the New Year in with friends and family. People buy a New Year's tree and presents, they decorate the New Year's tree.
Children have long holidays in winter. They are from the 29-th of December till the 10-th of January. They can spend much time in the fresh air, if it is not too cold. They can throw snowballs and make a snowman. When there is a hard frost, the ground is like iron and the icicles hang from the houses.
When it is too frosty it is better to stay at home.
