How many мы используем при исчисляемых существительных, т.е. если мы можем пересчитать данные нам объекты(люди, машины, карандаши и т.п.).
How much мы используем при неисчисляемых существительных, когда мы не можем пересчитать объекты(например, сахар; также сюда относятся деньги).

How many legs an octopus got?
It’s got eight legs.
How many brothers have you got?
I have got two brothers.
How much water do you drink every day?
I drink a lot of water every day.
How many children are in your class?
There are 25 children in my class.
How much juice is there in fridge at home?
There are three packs of juice at home.
