Television is doing a great harm. Before there was television we used to enjoy civilized pleasures. We used to have hobbies, read books and go out with friends. Now all our free time is regulated by "the magic box". Food is left uneaten, sleep is lost. Television encourages passive enjoyment. Little by little it cuts us off from the real world. We get lazy and choose to spend a fine day in front of TV rather then go out with friends. Television prevents us from communicating with each other. We only understand it when we spend a holiday in quiet, natural surroundings.
