A few other dog owners  walked their dogs too, but not many. I let Richie off the lead.  Suddenly he  started barking loudly and  ran away. I  followed him but he ran very fast and I  lost sight of him. I started calling his name, “Richie, Richie, come here.” But he  didn't come. Then a boy  came out of the bushes and  said, “Hi, there. Are you looking for me? My name’s Richie.” I  went all red and  said that Richie was my dog. The boy  began laughing and me, too.  Then he said, “Ok, let me help you to find your Richie.” We  went around the park looking for Richie. When we finally  found him, he  played with a small brown dog. On that day Richie  made friends, too. Richard and I have been best friends ever since.
