1.Last year we (spend) our summer holiday in Scotland. Actually, we (be) to Scotland at leas once every year since our cousins (buy) a house there.

2.I(be) sleeping peacefully when the phone (ring). I (wake) with a starnt and (pick) up: it (be) a wrong number! I (look) at my watch: it (be) 1 a.m. Well, it's almost 6 o'clock now and I (try) to get back to sleep for five hours. I (read) twenty pages of a very boring book, I (take) two sleeping-pills, but in vain! I suppose l'd better get up and have some breakfast!

3 She (study) Japanese for two years now. At the beginning, she (think) it (be) too difficult for her and (want) to give it up. But then she (go) to Tokyo and (spend) two months there and since then she (make) tremendous progress.​

2.I was sleeping peacefully when the phone had rung. I woke with a starnt and picked up: it was a wrong number! I looked at my watch: it was 1 a.m. Well, it's almost 6 o'clock now and I have tried to get back to sleep for five hours. I was reading twenty pages of a very boring book, I took two sleeping-pills, but in vain! I suppose l'd better get up and have some breakfast!
