Food's great, weather's crap. You can go 7 years between good summers in the North East, and never see the sun from 1st January to 21st June when the nights start closing in again.

Food - you can get whatever you fancy in most towns and cities, from bangers and mash to lobster thermidor. And the beer is the best in the world.
