Almost 30 percent of the surveyed residents of Kazakhstan admitted that they do not go to the cinema. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological study conducted by the Institute of Political Decisions (IPR). The survey, which was attended by 2.3 thousand people, was conducted in May this year in 16 cities of the republic. To the question "How often do you go to the cinema?" 28.8 percent of respondents answered that several times a year. Another 28.4 percent of respondents admitted that they do not visit cinemas at all. Every sixth citizen of Kazakhstan surveyed (16.3 percent) manages to go to the cinema several times a month, and another 14.3 percent of respondents visit cinemas, depending on financial capabilities. Another 6.7 percent of the surveyed residents of Kazakhstan watch movies in cinemas once a week, and only 3.2 percent of respondents go to the cinema twice a week, and only 1.3 percent of survey participants can afford to visit cinemas every day. It should be noted that 70 percent of respondents over the age of 60 do not go to the cinema at all. "Representatives of this generation, who quite often visit cinemas, are only 0.7 percent. These indicators vary directly depending on age - the younger the respondent, the more often he goes to the cinema. Among 18-19-year-olds, the percentage is maximum - 14.1 percent go to cinemas once a day or several times a week," the message distributed by the IPR says.
